Full Description

Tao Ren Xiang, or Peach Kernel Aroma, is not a common varietal in the Dan Cong world, but one rather with a more plush reputation. Because of its 'exclusivity', not every farmer produces this tea, and it usually comes from higher elevation plantations with more old bushes. Its 'twin brother', Almond Aroma on the other hand is more well known in the market, and even though they do share some similar characters, such as a hint of nuttiness, it is the peach pit fragrance that ultimately divides these them into two different cultivars. This is not a tea directly from farmer Liu's plantation, but his uncle's, which is at a slightly higher elevation in Phoenix Mountain than Liu's.

From the coastal area in Canton province, Phoenix Mountain possesses mineral-rich soil and is constantly surrounded by mists and fog, covered by wild tea tress and tea farms, as well as the folklore of the Phoenix Dan Cong Tea. Many wild tea trees are at least 100 to 200 years old. It’s a special type of Oolong treasured for its highly distinctive natural aroma that mimics certain flower or fruit aroma, and is well-known for its ten major aromatic groups. Dan Cong teas are named and classified by their aromas, and the aroma is never artificially added or perfumed but exclusively cultivated as a cultivar.
