It has layers of rich tastes that begins with mushroom, an undertone of herb, and orchid floral after taste, and slowly transits to floral honey like full bodied fragrance mixed with a hint of before ripped plums. It has a smooth and clean mouthfeel.
This 16 year old aged Sheng Pu Erh is a rarity to find and it's from Yun Nan. “Mo Gu” means mushroom in Chinese, and “Tuo” is a type of Pu Erh Tea (沱茶). This is a Sheng (raw) Pu Erh, but not a Shu (cooked) Pu Erh, hence the dark green tea leaves and the golden liquor rather than dark tea leaves and the dark red brown liquor. Unlike Shu Pu Erh, which needs to stay moist and hot in a temperature and humidity controlled room for an extended period of time (say, 60 days) after harvest, Sheng Pu Erh is slightly steamed and then pressed into different types of tea cake and aged and fermented naturally. Beneficial bacteria, yeasts, and molds thrive in these conditions, often making a great aged tea. The best climate condition to age sheng Pu Era tea is in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia and much of the rest of Southeast Asia, but not most of the Western world. Sheng tea is usually best enjoyed well before or after 16 year old.

This tea is fantastic. The flavors are smooth and complex. I let mine age for a year and it is now even more flavorful than when I bought it. It is not cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for. This is a must for experienced/sophisticated tea drinkers but still extremely accessible and enjoyable even for the novice. Highly recommended!
