Full Description
This is our MOST innovative and special tea cake by far and we just can’t wait to share it with you! Duck Shit has always been adorable as a tea, it’s fun, it’s playful and it always carries a good story to tell. As the very first tea and very first Dan Cong tea cake we introduce to you in 2023, we present you this one and only Ya Shi Huang Pian tea cake along with a very special collaboration with Tea Thoughts! Besides our own laid back duck design, Nazanin from Tea Thoughts was also invited to create a unique design for this cake’s wrapping paper, and you can find her cakes on her site. This is a great and fun daily drink.
Huang Pian are old leaves that will be picked out during filtering process when producing Dan Cong, however, some farmers will save some Huang Pian deliberately for aging purposes. It’s not a common practice and it’s not appreciated by just anyone. We are glad to find this Huang Pian from last year’s harvest and we saved it for half a year on purpose to let the leaves age just a little before pressing them into cakes. Aged Huang Pian has its own merits that are worth to explore and this is why we are hoping through this tea, you will open your palettes and mind to this underdog in the tea world.
