Light and pale, this liquor offers a mild and slightly sweet taste full of the richness of spring. This light bodied tea has a fresh aftertaste. Featuring a floral perfume, this delicate tea will have you reminiscing of spring time all year round.
Traditionally grown at a lower altitude, this oolong tea is cultivated to remind the drinker of the freshness of spring at any time of the year. Raised in the mountains of Taiwan and harvested four times per year, this tea’s leaf is always captured in its most youthful state, resulting in a lovely and sweet beverage. Gently collected and then placed between cloths, this artisan crafted tea is rolled through a machine as a part of its processing to capture its timeless spring fresh flavor. As a result, you can expect your tea to arrive in the shape of compressed tea “pebbles” ready to expand in hot water.
Lu gu, Taiwan
Gai Wan or ceramic pot
Add 5gram/1 tbsp
90 C / 195 F
Add 8oz water and infuse for 3 min.
Repeat for another 3+ infusions and increase the steeping time by 30 seconds with each additional infusion
Gai Wan (Recommended for best infusions):
Add water and infuse for 5 seconds
Repeat for another 5+ infusions and increase the steeping time by 10 seconds with each additional infusion
We strongly encourage experimenting with different quantities, steeping times and tea wares to find your most desired result. However, avoid over heated water, as it will over-extract the bitter compounds and astringency of the tea, whereas water that’s too cool might not fully extract the aroma and flavor.
