Origin: Jing De Zhen
Material: porcelain & pottery
Technique: handmade and hand painted
This is the second and the last batch of the Moon Rabbit Tea Cups of this year! The second batch includes three porcelain white/slight cyan tone tea cups that are a bit different from the other two. Each one has a different shape with a different rabbit painting. They are incredibly fun and one of a kind to collect.
They are all hand painted by a young female artist in Jing De Zhen. Fang, Ke went to Jing De Zhen to study painting and ceramics about 11 years ago, and now has become a local artist. She owns two cats, a rabbit and some goldfish. They now have become a major inspiration for her work. She likes sketching her animal friends in daily life so she can paint them later on the teaware she makes. Since she is involved in every stage, from throwing to painting, she can't afford a mass production at the current stage. For every batch of her work, she produces 2-3 Gaiwans for each style and 1 cup/style. She also leaves a tiny signature of hers on her work.
We also received two styles of Gaiwan with designs of rabbits from her. They now have instantly become some of our favorites!
Cup dimension: height 5cm, diameter 4-5cm, volume 70-80ml
