This is a white tea from Yun Nan made by tea leaves from Pu Erh trees but processed as a white tea. Its leaves are much bigger compared to white teas from Fu Jian, and as a fresh tea, it already offers a strong fragrance and a rich complex flavor. This tea comes from Meng Hai area in Yun Nan, where many tea farmers deep in the mountains are nestled.
Unlike white teas from Fu Jian, Pu Erh white tea can not necessarily be aged for as long as it can. The best time to consume Pu Erh white tea is between 1-5 years after harvesting. After 5 years, such tea will rather lose its flavors and fragrances.
