Origin: Jing De Zhen
This gorgeous handmade teapot has a tea pink color mixed with a red rose glaze that makes the entire teapot seem like a piece made from rose quartz. Every piece on the pot has a slightly different color tone, pink, pale pink, red, rose, white, cream, even green, but every color difference has a smooth transition into another color and they are all perfectly “patched” together. It also has two different textures, the lighter color areas such as the lid and the handle, have a more rough texture, whereas the darker red area has a smooth ceramic glaze. The most stunning part is actually the inside. It's masterfully made with a layer of ice cracked effect ceramics. It seems small but actually has a very decent volume which is 180ml, and it’s versatile for 1-4 people. The sprout is very well designed and made so that liquor doesn’t drip after pouring. This teapot is both an art piece to collect and a practical one to use. It’s made by a local artisan in Jing De Zhen, which is the cradle city of ceramics and potteries in China.
