Full Description
Just like the internationally reputative Oriental Beauty, it is produced only when visits from the Green Tea Leafhopper are ensured. Cultivated at elevation 1800m, this tea is entirely dependent on nature to develop its rich honey fragrance that adds sweetness to its brew. Grown high on the mountains of Taiwan, is only harvested once per year in the summer after the leafhoppers have visited, encouraging the tea plant to adjust the flavor of its leaf. This naturally adjusted leaf flavor is highly prized by tea drinkers around the world. Only when these unique conditions are met will the tea have its prized flavor. After the leaves are harvested at the peak of honey perfection, the farmers roast them to add more body and complex flavor. The leaves are roasted three separate times over the course of a couple of weeks.

We strongly encourage experimenting with different quantities, steeping times and tea wares to find your most desired result. However, avoid over heated water, as it will over-extract the bitter compounds and astringency of the tea, whereas water that’s too cool might not fully extract the aroma and flavor.
