Bulldog Green Tea, or Gou Gu Nao in Chinese, is from a historically famous green tea production mountain named “Gou Gu Nao” or Bull Dog Head in central China. One of the peaks of this mountain range has a shape of a dog head, hence it’s named as Bull Dog Head Mountain. Gou Gu Nao is normally harvested by one bud and one leaf, and It goes through 4 stages of processing: withering, kill green through pan frying, mildly rolling and drying.
This is rather low key green tea in China, while it has never made its name internationally, it is still an interesting and very affordable day to day Chinese green tea for anyone to enjoy.
