Full Description
The most well known Shui Xian proverb in China is "No rock tea can be more fragrant than a Rou Gui, and no rock tea can be sweeter than a Shui Xian". Shui Xian is described as if it's a very feminine woman -- sweet, gentle, mellow and delightful. This is a very good Shui Xian from Shui Lian Dong, or Water Curtain Cave, which is one of the most famous locations in Wu Yi Shan for rock tea production.
Wu Yi Shan is located in northern Fu Jian province in China and it’s the cradle for the worldwide prestigious Wu Yi Rock Teas. The traditionally processed Wu Yi rock teas tend to be more roasted, and they are famous for their roasting, peanut/nutty, spiced and sometimes floral or mineral taste. Rock tea enthusiasts also talk often about or seek “Yan Yun” 岩韵 in a tea, which means the “Rhythm of Rock”, and it’s an abstract sensation of tea drinkers sensing the energy from the rock from a Wu Yi rock tea.
