Full Description
This year's green Shou Mei is as usual from our white tea farmer, farmer Wen. Shou Mei is the third grade of white tea with its own elegant aroma and a captivating taste. This tea is also charcoal roasted just like previous year's harvest. The purpose of charcoal roasting white tea is to enhance aroma and it's better for aging teas. In three years, if stored well, this green Shou Mei will slowly turn yellow and light brown and become an aged white tea. The reason we call it "green Shou Mei" is because many fake aged Shou Mei white tea is made by using heat and humidity to make fresh young tea leaves brown. A green Shou Mei however, is usually a fresh harvested tea and most likely sun withered instead of indoor.
