Full Description
We're excited to introduce our first-ever Silver Needle white tea. Crafted from the renowned Da Bai cultivar and harvested from one of the earliest spring pickings of the season, this exceptional tea showcases the delicate, rice-grain appearance known in Chinese as Mi Zhen (米针), or "Rice Needle."
Over the years, we've sampled countless Silver Needle teas in search of something truly distinctive. While many offered the classic profile expected of premium white tea, this year's selection stood apart from the rest. The aroma opens with elegant orchid notes, followed by a refreshing character reminiscent of a tranquil bamboo forest. Each sip finishes with a lingering honey-like sweetness that integrates beautifully with the smooth, silky liquor.
Silver Needle is widely regarded as the highest grade of white tea, consisting exclusively of the earliest spring tea buds. This careful selection produces a remarkably refined cup with a naturally sweet taste, delicate floral complexity, and a clean, refreshing finish. White tea is also valued for its naturally high antioxidant content and its abundance of amino acids, which contribute to its smooth texture and gentle sweetness.
Like other fine white teas, Silver Needle can be aged over time. As the tea matures, its profile gradually develops deeper herbal notes while retaining its signature smoothness. Many tea enthusiasts enjoy purchasing fresh Silver Needle and aging it themselves to experience its evolution over the years.
